Xiaomi India's Strategy Focuses on Expanding Product Portfolio Amidst Consumer Device Retention

• Xiaomi India's Chief Operating Officer, Sudhin Mathur, stated that consumers are retaining their devices for longer periods, prompting the company to focus on innovation and expanding its diverse product range beyond smartphones to include connected home devices and even cars, a strategy that has seen over 22 million consumers globally own more than five Xiaomi devices.

• The company's 'smartphone, car, home' strategy is proving successful, with non-phone revenue now comprising 15-18% of its total business, driven by significant growth in large screen TVs (55 inches and above) by 200% year-on-year, strong interest in the Xiaomi Pad 7, and continued progress in power banks, air purifiers, and robot vacuum cleaners, with plans to introduce more products in the latter half of 2026.
