• The Kerala Cabinet has officially decided to cancel the K-Rail (SilverLine) semi-high-speed railway project, which was intended to connect Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod.
• Following this decision, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan announced that all land acquired for the project will be de-notified, and the distinctive yellow markers indicating the proposed route will be removed.
