Malaysia Airlines to enhance India connectivity with increased flights to Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and non-metro cities

• Malaysia Airlines is expanding its operations in India by adding more flights to Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and non-metro cities, aiming to strengthen its presence in the country.

• Currently, the airline operates direct flights connecting nine destinations in India to Kuala Lumpur with 71 weekly flights, including daily services to major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

• To further enhance its reach, Malaysia Airlines plans to explore non-metro destinations where there are no restrictions due to bilateral flying rights, capitalizing on untapped market potential.

• The airline is also considering a codeshare partnership with an Indian carrier, seeking opportunities for collaboration in both full-service and low-cost segments, and is working towards securing increased bilateral flying rights for its airlines.
