Russia Denies Targeting Indian Pharma Warehouse in Kyiv

• Russia refuted Ukraine's claim that a Russian missile hit the Kyiv warehouse of Indian pharmaceutical company Kusum Healthcare on April 12, 2025, asserting instead that a malfunctioning Ukrainian air defense missile caused the fire.

• The Russian embassy in India stated that Russian forces were targeting a military aviation plant and related infrastructure at a different location when the incident occurred, and denied any intention to strike civilian areas.

• While Ukraine accused Russia of deliberately targeting Indian businesses, Russia countered by alleging that Ukraine uses civilian areas as shields for its military equipment, reiterating its claim that it does not target civilian infrastructure.
