Paralympics Day 8: India's Simran reaches women's 100m T12 final, medal hopes high
• On Day 8 of the Paralympics in Paris, India's Simran has qualified for the final of the Women's 100m T12 event.
• Para-archers Harvinder Singh and Pooja have also advanced to the quarter-finals of the Mixed Team Recurve Open.
• India has already surpassed its previous best medal tally of 19 from Tokyo, currently sitting at 13th place with 24 medals (5 gold, 9 silver, 10 bronze).
• Para-athletics has been India's most successful sport, with 13 medals so far. Arvind will compete in the Men's Shot Put - F35 Final, while Simran will participate in the Women's 100M T12 semi-final.
• Harvinder Singh, India's first gold medalist in Para-Archery, will aim for his second medal alongside Pooja in the Mixed Team Recurve Open event.
