West Bengal Bandh Called Over Clashes During Protest March

• The march was organized to demand the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over the alleged rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.

• Clashes erupted between police and protesters, resulting in injuries to protesters and police personnel.

• BJP president JP Nadda criticized the Kolkata Police's handling of the protests and accused the state government of valuing criminals over women's safety.
