• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for very heavy rainfall in Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts of Kerala.
• Yellow alert is in place for Idukki, Thrissur, Ernakulam, and Palakkad districts.
• Educational institutions in 12 districts, except Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam, will remain closed on July 31 due to heavy rain.
