WhatsApp's new AI collaborator can respond to your inquiries and assist you with arranging your next trip

A new shortcut that provides instant access to Meta's AI-powered chatbot is included in the most recent Android beta of WhatsApp. When and if it will be made available to everyone are still unknown.

WhatsApp, the well-known instant messaging service, is the most recent product from Meta to receive the generative AI treatment. Meta has been progressively adding new AI-powered capabilities to its products, such as Facebook and Instagram.

The tech company declared at Meta Connect 2023 earlier this year that it would soon be introducing an AI chatbot to WhatsApp. The most recent WhatsApp beta for Android, which was previously only accessible to a small number of Americans, now features a shortcut button that enables users to rapidly access the company's AI-powered chatbot without having to scroll through the conversation list.

The "New Chat" button on WhatsApp is positioned above the new AI chatbot button in the "Chats" section. The new AI chatbot appears to be restricted to a small number of people, though, and there's no information yet about when it will be made available to everyone.
