Delhi: After a fight with his wife, a man throws himself and his 2-year-old son from the first-floor terrace.

After a dispute with his wife, a man allegedly hurled his two-year-old boy from the first story of a building in Delhi's Kalkaji neighbourhood while intoxicated, police said on Saturday. Additionally, the 30-year-old jumped off the structure.

According to officials, the incident happened on Friday night at about 10:30. They also stated that Man Singh, the accused, and his son were hurt in the event and are currently receiving medical attention at a hospital.

The husband's wife, Pooja, said that she and the man had a tense marriage and that she and her kid were residing with her grandmother. On Friday, Singh got into a confrontation with Pooja after showing up at her house intoxicated about 7 o'clock.

The man took the kid after the struggle.

According to the police, a case has been filed under section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (attempt to murder), and an investigation has begun.

The incident was made public a day after an MCD school teacher in Delhi was fired for punching a class 5 pupil in the face with scissors and hurling her to the ground from the first floor.

After being treated at Hindu Rao Hospital, the injured girl was then transferred to Safdarjung Hospital.

According to her father, the student's cheekbone was broken, and she also had injuries to her knees and side of the head.

The teacher at the Delhi Nagar Nigam Balika Vidyalaya allegedly barricaded herself inside a classroom with pupils and "violently" flung water bottles before picking up the students.
